Celanese's polyoxymethylene (POM) series products are based on the two major brands Celcon® and Hostaform® as the core, covering homopolymers and copolymer. With excellent mechanical properties, chemical stability and processing adaptability, they are widely used in automotive, electronics, medical, industrial and other fields.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

1. Celcon® series (copolymer)
Performance advantage:
High rigidity and creep resistance: the tensile strength can reach 62-70 MPa, and the deformation is minimal when it is subjected to high loads for a long time.
Chemical resistance: resistant to fuel, weak acid and alkali and hydrolysis, suitable for automobile fuel systems and water supply pipelines.
Processing flexibility: support injection molding, extrusion, and two-component molding (such as combining with SEBS thermoplastic elastomers).
 

Typical model:
M25: low fluidity, high impact resistance, suitable for extrusion molding.
GC25A: 25% glass fiber reinforced, tensile strength ≥150 MPa, used for high-rigidity structural parts.
M90 XAP®: low volatilization, UV resistance, and meets the environmental protection requirements of automotive interiors.

2. Hostaform® series (copolymer / homopolymer)
Copolymer properties:
Thermal stability: long-term use temperature of 100-120°C, short-term temperature resistance of 160°C.
Wear resistance and low friction: the coefficient of friction is 0.25–0.35, and the molybdenum disulfide-containing models (such as C9021) further optimize the self-lubricating properties.
Medical-grade compliance: passed USP Class VI certification for insulin pens and surgical instruments.
Homopolymer model (H100):
Higher strength: the ductile strength and fatigue resistance are better than that of the copolymer, which is suitable for precision gears.
 

Special model:
XT20/XT90: Extreme toughness, impact resistance surpasses traditional modified POM, used in automotive buckles and shock absorption components.
MT8U01: Medical-grade high-fluidity material, in line with FDA 21 CFR 177.2470 standard, biocompatible up to ISO 10993.

Market Applications

1. Automobile industry
Fuel system: oil pump assembly, fuel pipe joint (ethanol-resistant gasoline).
Mechanical parts: door lock mechanism, wiper gear (anti-fatigue + wear-resistant).
Interior and exterior: The low-volatile XAP® model is used for the dashboard, and the UV-resistant grade is used for outdoor rearview mirrors.

2. Electronic appliances
Precision components: hard disk bracket, relay shell (dimensional stability + high insulation).
Connector: Glass bead enhanced type (such as FB-2025) has low warping to ensure signal transmission accuracy.

3. Medical equipment
Implantable equipment: artificial hip joint bearings (friction loss <0.3mg / year).
Disposable supplies: insulin pen piston, syringe parts (biocompatible + chemical resistance to disinfection).

4. Industrial and consumer goods
Mechanical transmission: gears, bearings (wear-resistant + low noise).
Household items: washing machine gear, faucet valve core (hydrolysis resistance + long-term durability).
